Job Description

 

 

JOB TITLE:      LOCAL TELEVISION ANALYST

LOCATION:      CHICAGO, IL

REPORTS TO:   SENIOR DIRECTOR, ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

 

JOB FUNCTION:

 

This individual will help create insights from and analyze comScore's Local Television data. They will assist in uncovering global trends that affect individual, regional and national markets along with assisting Account Directors and Account Managers with station specific solutions.  This position is part of the Local Television team that provides data analyses, sales collateral, and insights to both internal stakeholders and external clients.  The main focus for this role is on the suite of TV products for the local television business. In this role, the Local Television Analyst will utilize knowledge in media research, sales and statistics to work closely with other members of the Local Television team to create data driven analyses, actionable insights and ready to use client sales pieces or collateral.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Pull and deliver regular scheduled data analyses from various portals
  • Derive actionable insights that help internal and external stakeholders better utilize comScore's Local Television data
  • Be a go to source internally for data pulls and presentation building
  • Manage expectations and coordinate project delivery with internal team
  • Beta test new product features and provide appropriate feedback as requested
  • Occasional travel to client or internal

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Competency working with complex research/measurement data
  • Understanding of the Local Media marketplace and the role research plays in the sales process
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate well with people at all levels of an organization both internally and externally, both written and verbally
  • Ability to formulate action plans and execute initiatives
  • Outstanding project management, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Strong competency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Working knowledge of Qliqview and Tableau a plus
  • Self-motivated, organized, and resourceful
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years account management and/or client service experience with a research product
  • Demonstrated success in managing executive relationships and delivering to client needs
