Junior Product Manager



The Junior Product Manager is the subject matter expert on all comScore Essentials systems. The successful candidate will provide support to the Product group in both internal and external initiatives, from researching reported bugs to producing technical specifications for new initiatives.  The Junior Product  Manager is the primary liaison among the Development, Product, and Research.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Author Business Requirements documents which includes client use cases.
  • Convey business, system and functional requirements to both business and technical staff using a combination of graphical information and text in natural language.
  • Elicit, document and evaluate product requirements which involve multiple product stakeholders and technical topics including data metrics.
  • Communicate information needed to fulfill these requirements effectively to Software Development Manager, Engineers, QA and Research in both oral and written forms.
  • At the direction of the Product Manager, hold trainings for internal stakeholders regarding new features, reports, metrics, etc.
  • Field internal stakeholder concerns during and after the User Acceptance Testing process.

  • Demonstrated success in requirements modeling.
  • Can consistently and effectively document requirements. Potential techniques include scrum stories, use cases and practical UML.
  • Applied knowledge of the SDLC and software development methodologies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks/objectives with strong organizational, administrative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to perform analysis on feature requirements against system capabilities.
  • Excellent  oral and written communication and presentation skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Broad-based knowledge of products and processes.
  • Team player.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work independently with creativity and sound judgment.
  • Adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.



Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology major or equivalent experience.

Three to five years of experience in business modeling, requirements management, analysis and design.

One to three years of experience in television or new media audience measurement.



Must have the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel. This person must have the organizational intelligence to ask the right questions in order to gather and evaluate requirements for project elements that will require software development work. Must be able to communicate information needed to fulfill these requirements effectively to product stakeholders and technical staff in both oral and written forms. 


Must be able to collect, understand, analyze and summarize information, trends and report calculations.



Must have strong critical thinking skills which involve the ability to identify and summarize the problem, question, or issues, including in situations where only limited standardization exists. In addition, this successful candidate must be able to identify necessary or probable assumptions or presuppositions and determine when additional information is needed for a given purpose. Must be able to construct deductive and inductive arguments and construct/critique analogical arguments and explanations. Must be able to understand and evaluate causal arguments and explanation along with assessment of common types of statistical information, generalizations, and reasoning.
