  • Job Description

    Software Engineers, on the panel technology team, deliver solutions that enable comScore to recruit, retain, and collect data from 2+ million users on our desktop, mobile, and home network panels. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, as well as an understanding of business needs and requirements. Our clients include major web publishers, television networks, technology companies, advertising agencies and anyone who wants to use our data and technical expertise to help derive new insights into their industry and gain a competitive advantage.

     

    What you'll do:

     

    • Architect, implement, modify, and document software, especially web applications and web services.
    • Participate in the Agile process, working with business and development teams to gather requirements, design and develop new systems, and improve existing ones.
    • Work with other comScore engineering teams and external partners to integrate with their applications and services.
    • Analyze code to find causes of errors and make necessary revisions.
    • Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems or questions.
    • Implement automation initiatives that reduce time spent on development and QA processes.

     

    Education and experience required:

     

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area as well as at least two years of experience in a software engineering role
    • At least one year of experience with ASP.NET, C#, SQL, and related technologies
    • Experience in the design and development of web applications and web-based APIs
    • Knowledge of software engineering concepts, design patterns, and best practices
    • Familiarity with agile methodology; ability to estimate scope, break up problems into deliverable chunks, and pivot when requirements change.
