    Job Title:Senior Statistical Analyst

    Location: Reston, VA


    About This Role:

    comScore is a leading big data technology company that measures what matters to make advertising across media more valuable. We are seeking a seeking an experienced Senior Statistical Analyst in our Reston, VA office, to mine our large-scale data sets (2 Trillion + records/month) and provide useful insights to help inform our clients strategy for launching and analyzing marketing campaigns around the world. The Senior Statistical Analyst has a strong foundation in statistics, data science, marketing analysis or media measurement, and the ability to communicate technical findings in easy to understand language to non-technical audiences. The senior statistical analyst brings experience of working independently and collaborating with others to develop robust solutions. The role requires experience with the appropriate software and analytic tools for developing statistically sound methods for both large and small data. 


    What You'll Do: 

    • The successful candidate will contribute to the development of novel audience measurement and demographic inference solutions. 
    • Develop, implement, and support statistical methodologies and processes. 
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for product methodology and statistical theory. 
    • You must be able to independently recognize and solve problems and challenges. 
    • Communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. 


    What You'll Need:

    • 3-7 years of current professional (non education, non internship) experience, preferably in a data science or analytical role. 
    • Professional (non education) experience implementing statistical models and machine learning algorithms with an emphasis on regression, classification, clustering, or neural networks. 
    • Masters degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a similar degree with a focus on statistical methodology. A Bachelors degree in the same fields with significant, demonstrated professional research experience will also be considered. 
    • Programming experience in scientific computing language (R, Python, Julia) and the ability to interact with relational data (SQL, Apache Pig). General purpose programming (Python, Scala, Java) and familiarity with Hadoop is a plus.  
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Experience with TV or digital audience or market research data is a plus. Familiarity with systems analysis or systems thinking is a plus.
