    Job Title: Statistical Analyst

    Location: Reston, VA

    comScore is a leading Internet technology company that measures what people do as they navigate the digital world and turns that information into insights and actions for our clients to maximize the value of their digital investments.We are in the need of a Statistical Analyst in our Reston, VA location. The ideal candidate is a dedicated person with knowledge of statistical concepts, outstanding communication skills, and the ability think critically to solve open ended research questions. This is a technical position requiring analytical and market research expertise, preferably with experience working with very large data sets. The statistical analyst role is a key position on the Stats Services team with high potential for advancement and growth.


    What You’ll Do: 

    • Manipulate large datasets to develop statistical models and robust methodology to address key research initiatives

    • Relay research findings to technical and non-technical audiences in the form of presentations and other forms of documentation

    • Work across various teams toward common goals

    • Help transition research items and processes into a production environment


    What You’ll Need:

    • Minimum of two years of RELEVANT, professional experience.  

    • Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Social Sciences Computer Science or Math or similar degree with a focus on statistical methodology.

    • Programming experience in R and/or python (R strongly preferred)

    • Familiarity with categorical data modeling experience with basic SQL querying

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Experience working with varied small teams

    • Ability to multi-task with an eagerness to learn new statistical methods

    • Dedication to innovation and continuous improvement

    • Committed to deadlines and meeting product requirements


    • Experience working with Big Data Analytics (e.g. Hadoop, SQL)

    • Familiarity with Bayesian inference, MCMC methodologies, generalized linear models, and machine learning (advanced clustering and classification methods)

    • Experience with Digital Market Research

    • Agent Based Modeling experience is a plus1+ years of professional experience

    • Masters Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Social Sciences or similar degree with a focus on statistical methodology preferred but not required.
