    Job Title: Senior Software Engineer 

    Location: Portland, OR (Downtown) 


    About this Role: 


    The Comscore Branded Entertainment team is looking for a Sr. Full Stack Engineer experienced in all layers of software development. The Senior Software Engineer will work with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance web and desktop applications for internal and external users. This is an exciting opportunity for developers with strong analytical and system design skills. 


    What You'll Do: 

    • Participate in requirements gathering, design, development and enhancement of new systems to be incorporated within the existing processing environment.
    • Design and build scalable, high-availability applications, web services and portals.
    • Manage multiple assignments and balance workload according to priorities.
    • Collaborate and mentor cross-functional team members to identify and implement project solutions.

    What You'll Need: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field as well as 5+ years in a software engineering role.
    • Full stack .NET development experience in C# applications with WinForms, MVC, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL server.
    • Advanced knowledge of RESTful architecture, SOAP, and WCF.
    • Experience in the design and development of web-based APIs using JSON.
    • Experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and other front-end technologies/patterns preferred.
    • Solid understanding of algorithms, design patterns, data structures, and object-oriented design.
    • Experience in the design and development of data-driven solutions.
    • Drive to search, identify, and advocate for better practices and solutions for the team and the company.
    • A passion and excitement for developing software.
    • A passion for continual improvement of self, team, and the company. 
    • Energized by tackling complex problems autonomously and in a team environment. 
    • Ownership of the architecture and design of software solutions. 
    • Mentor and coach developers across teams. 
    • Active in the software engineering community 
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
    • Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work effectively with management, customers, business analysts and other developers.
