    Job Title: Senior IT Support Engineer 

    Location: Reston, VA

     

    About This Role:

     

    Do you have superior customer-service skills, patience and innate curiosity to make things work better? If you have a talent for diagnosing technical issues and the superior know-how to solve them in an efficient manner, then comScore wants you on the team. We're looking to expand our technical support group to support comScore's growth. Unlike roles where you're in a call center environment, here you'll have a chance to work among our employees and move throughout the day. You will work with employees from entry-level all the way to the C-Suite.

     

    What You'll Do: 

    • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support expertise to internal end-users in the local and remote sites on technical issues related to Windows 7/10-based client and server software and equipment. You will NOT be in a call center environment
    • Responsible for accurate administration in our ticketing system and meet our internal SLAs
    • Owns assigned technical support area (i.e. phone system), maintains the infrastructure, manages the system and performs upgrades
    • Responsible for maintenance on all office hardware including VOIP phones, copiers, fax machine, printers and AV systems
    • Responsible for local phone system administration including moves, adds, changes, and troubleshooting
    • Responsible for using KACE and JAMF for hardware/software deployment and inventory, documentation and taking the lead on projects as requested. Prepare technical documentation for end-user support training

    What You'll Need: 

    • BA/BS in Computer Science or Engineering or related field strongly preferred
    • 3-5 years of IT support experience
    • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent IT support with strong troubleshooting abilities
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills are essential to your success in this role, as you will be working with remote employees and high level executives
    • Experience with laptop/notebook hardware and wireless networking is required
    • Strong knowledge of Windows 7/10, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and VPN
    • Strong knowledge of Mac/OSX in a corporate environment
    • Strong knowledge of common networking concepts such as switching, routing, DNS, DHCP
    • Familiarity with a range of commercial off-the-shelf software
    • Familiarity with ServiceNow a plus
